Two months...and counting

Hard to believe - but less than 2 months and we'll be on our way to Haiti!  My heart is full of joy that I've been blessed with this opportunity!  I have sent out all my sponsorship letters - trusting that God will provide what I need to support the trip financially.  I'm helping Donovan with his fundraiser garage sale tomorrow.  They have amazing neighbors...so many wonderful items were donated for his sale. I'm confident that his fundraiser will be a big success!  The beautiful posters provided by Healing Haiti truly capture and bring the spirit of these wonderful people to home.

Preparing

Less than 3 months until we leave for Haiti..I'm so excited as I prepare to leave!  I recently visited a travel medicine clinic to get the Hepatitis A, typhoid and tetanus immunizations, and prescriptions for malaria and traveler's diarrhea.  My sponsorship letters are completed and ready to send. But most importantly, my heart is preparing for all that God has to share with me.  My prayers celebrate Him for providing me the opportunity to do His work in Haiti!

Excitement

     Well, I see that no one has posted anything yet so I thought I would go first.  Cobie and I are hosting our first fundraiser, a Lia Sophia party.  We are both excited to be hosting.  What girl doesn't like jewelery....right?  And of course, the money that is spent on this wonderful jewelery will be donated to the Haiti Mission trip!  On the other hand, I am struggling right now to find decent airline tickets to get there, so I am praying that the prices come down, and I bet I'm not the only one:-)  
     I have never done a blog before so I will stop babbling and keep praying!
